Gerd Bode is an expert for pre-clinical and clinical drug development.
From 1982 to 1994 Gerd Bode was Head of Experimental Medicine at Boehringer Mannheim (today Roche).
From 1994 to 2000 he led pre-clinical and early stage clinical development at Hoechst Marion Roussel in Paris.
From 2000 to 2005 he was Head of Pre-Clinical Drug Safety at Altana Pharma.
From 1985 until 2005 he was member of the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM).
From 2000 to 2005 Gerd Bode was advisor for and lecturer in toxicology at the WHO.
Since 2005 he has been a lecturer at several universities and scientific advisory to numerous large and small pharma companies.
